Uppermost Determinants To Choose Prepaid Cell Phones

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Why are prepaid plans and what is best for you? Ask yourself how many phone transactions do you usually talk or will  you be using a cell phone in a week? Try to get a good handle on this number because if there is an increase in your estimate, you’ll be restricting yourself, or in reality, your money appropriated and budget severely impacted. Track Phones come in three models and offer exchangeable faceplates for individualization, text messaging and much more. Nokia prepaid TracFones are a wireless service with no activation fee or any long term contract fees.

Take time to ponder, will this be an auxiliary  Tracfone prepaid phone plan and used for emergency purposes online? How long will your normal prepaid cell phones wireless calls. Are your talk times long-winded or short? If going to last a long time, you should not be using a prepaid phone.  The overall cost might dent your funds severely if you intend on high usage.

One more consideration is if you will be on the move and out of state often? Are you goint to be calling out of the United States in countries like Europe or Mexico? TracPhone is the only wireless carrier that allows one to call 60 different countries internationally for the same exact cost as other calls. Will you be calling 411 assistant service? That service may cost from 70 cents to $1.50 each time you access their service. It you are intending to use text electronic messaging a lot?

How about the percent of calls after 9PM and weekends? How about long periods of time where you are busy with other things and might not be using the phone. The most important question, can you live with a 2 year contract like the ones offered by the price gauging Verizon people? Trac Phone and Net 10 were you can buy minutes as you need them may be your most sensible approach.

Tracfone prepaid phone minutes carry over providing you recharge your cell phone every three months or whatsoever your plan designates. Airtime units are understandable and the plan for billing is basic to people to understand. You always know how much time to the minute you have left so there are no surprises and you have ample time to buy more minutes.

Trac Phone cell phones are easily accessible online and it is also available at over 60,000 retailers nationwide. The over 12 millon subscribers attest to Tracfone’s practically. Not long ago, TracPhone also offers a $30 Straight Talk plan that includes 1,000 minutes and 1,000 text messages that may work well for your budget.

Does Any One Have Any Info On The Official Realease Of Android 2.1 OS For The Verizon Motorola Droid?

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

I Have Seen videos on youtube about this os and i love it i cant wait till this gets released i hear rumors of jan 11th, jan 22 or spring any solid info out there?

Other than the official announcement that it will be getting 2.1 at some time, there is nothing official from Verizon. Verizon will not release any firm dates on any updated unless they are 100% certain that they can deliver said update by that particular date… If they were to say Jan 11th, and something happened, say a bug is found, so that they can’t release on that date, you would have users across the nation screaming bloody murder… Because of this, most companies won’t give a date, period… They just start releasing the update without notice.

A word of caution to you. If you have rooted your Droid, or if you might possibly want to do so in the future, do NOT apply the updated from Verizon. They will almost certainly have fixed the bug in the old release that allowed users to gain root access, and the phone will be un-rootable if the update is applied. Developers may or may not find another exploit that allows root access.

If your phone is rooted, wait for one of the after-market ROM’s to be released with a pre-patched version of Android 2.1 that is based off of the ROM that Verizon officially releases. This "Patch and release" by the development community will assure that your phone retains root access.

SholesMod 2.0.3 on Motorola Droid

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

This is SholesMod 2.0.3 running on the motorola droid. It has all the features of 2.1 except live wallpapers, which is pretty nice. Everything runs well at 800MHz, and very smoothly at 1GHz. This was recorded mostly sideways to increase the visible area/resolution, so sorry if you have to turn your head for most of it.
