Question by Hank Ferris: Motorola Phone Tools 4 “Unable to communicate with the mobile phone” message?
I connected fine and it found my phone and recognized it. (I have an alltel V3a Razr)

However, when I try to send .mp3, ringtones, or pictures, or try to look into my phone through the PC, it says “CONNECTING” then it says “Unable to communicate with the mobile phone”

I am running Windows XP. I tried to do the live update, but it said it “timed out”

I’ve tried it twice.

I don’t think the update is the problem because it initialized my phone.
