Can I buy a Motorola Droid from Verizon at the 2-year price instead of the retail price?

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

I just reestablished my 2-year plan with Verizon about 3 months ago and the new motorola droid just came out. The 2-year contract price for the Droid is $199 and the retail price is between $500-$600. Would I have to pay the full price of the phone if I want buy the Droid?

Yes you would have to pay the full price because you are already in a 2 year contract. You only get that 2 year price if you havent upgraded and will be upgrading or if your contract is over

iPhone or the new Motorola Android which is better?

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Find a T-Mobile store and ask to toy around with a Samsung Memoir, really perfect if you want a phone you wont need to replace for the next 10 years (its that good and tons more).

T-Mobile internet is unlimited.

I would, suggest instead, wait for the I-Slate to come out for that apple product of the year.

Iphone is cute and popular, while blackberry is the chosen brand by every single girl I like and their all very smart girls (my type).
Question to why chose the Blackberry, their answer was simple the battery lasts long during talk time and the keyboard on the cellphone is the best for texting.
The google G1 is infamous for having a not so good battery life, perhaps if they get it up to 4 days then it will be a solid phone.

the Iphone, I don’t know how to say it in English, well total cost of manufacture to the customer is less then 90$, you get (what they pay for).
while a blackberry is roughly 120-180 depending on model and the Memoir is around 300$
Also what I really love about the memoir, is its LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to make an exact Chines copy of it, because when it was released, the technology that was put into the 8 megapixel camera to make it that small was simply just invented by Samsung, therefore a 100% guarantee that its not a "Very High A+ quality replica"

My preference is the Samsung Memoir, simply because its perfect for a Technology enthusiast.

Yes you can get the update/s Even for Flash Support. They give them to you over the air. When they send out the first update in a few weeks it will either come in as a notification or you can do the following. Go to Settings ->Scroll down to About Phone. Then hit System Updates. If one is available it will pop up for you to download if none are available it will say its up to date. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. Good Luck.

Can you get the new Motorola Cliq WITHOUT spending an extra $30 a month?

Friday, January 29th, 2010

It’s time to pick out a new phone and I love the new Motorola Cliq but spending an extra 30/month is ridiculous lol. I’m not even going to use the apps so what is the point? Is there a way I could possible get this phone and only getting simple internet and spending an extra 10/month instead of getting android and spending 30/month? Thanks.

No, T-Mobile will require you to pay $30/per month because that’s how they can sell the cliq for the heavy discounted price.

when will the motorola cliq get the new 2.0 OS? or any android update?

Friday, January 29th, 2010

I just got the new motorola cliq I it has it’s ups and downs… It’s better than my My g1 mainly because of the speed and the internal memory that it has, and the motoblur is really nice. but the one thing that bothers me is not having the newest android update, as matter of fact it’s 3 updates behind it’s on the 1.5 update but their is a 1.6, and 2.0, and now the 2.1. So I feel like I got a new high Performance computer but with windows xp instead of the new Windows 7. get it…? but in reality I got a new phone that runs on the older android version (1.5) so that really bothers me. But I can wait for the new android update because it will be way worth it. I just want to know if anybody knows when it wil be updated? I also called motorola and I talked to one of the reps. and she had no Idea about what I was talking about….. grrrrr. Oh yeah remember I’m talking about the android update! not the phone update that was recently released I already got that one. Thanks!

tough question

Could someone suggest a good dvd video converter for the new Motorola Droid?

Friday, January 29th, 2010

I am looking for suggestions for a good video converter that will allow you to watch dvd movies on the motorola droid. I heard a program called handbrake is very good but I am looking for other suggestions from people that have used any other programs. I would prefer a free program but will pay for any program that does a good job. Thanks

You can try some best DVD Ripper Platinum here, they can convert DVD to AVI, DivX, XviD, VCD, WMV, MPEG4 format video files, with almost same quality, but just only 10% size. So you can add DVD Movie to iPod, Zune, Pocket PC or any other MP4 player. Also, you can rip the DVD to the formats for Youtube video such as wmv.

Even you can use the video editor profile to output avi file for your video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas. Also, it supports ripping MTV, music DVD to MP3 audio; you can listen to your favorite movies on your iPod now!

There is the free download link:
http://www.freedvdripper.org/
Also, you can find some other DVD Ripper software here:

How do you text sidedways with the touch keyboard on the motorola droid?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

I just got the new motorola droid but I can’t figure out how to text on the touchscreen sideways.
Thanks! I’ve been doing that and its still not working so I think its broken. I’m gonna bring it to verizon tomorow.

Just rotate the phone on it’s side. The keyboard will rotate with the phone to the landscape mode. (you must rotate the phone counter-clockwise – meaning the little "ledge" needs to be on your right, the top of the phone on your left, just like if you were to open your keyboard.

When the phone is in landscape mode (with the physical keyboard not extended), the keyboard and the area where your text appears will take up the entire screen. You won’t be able to see the existing text messages. You type what you want to type, then press the send button. To make the keyboard "disappear" press the "back button" to make it re-appear, click in the text area where you want to type.
