What is the best app to keep track of NCAA football/basketball and NFL scores on the Motorola Droid?

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Those are the three I watch the most and am use to checking the scores on espn.com however I couldn’t find any espn app surprisingly. The scores app I did download and dry that has NCAA scores says "no data available" for almost all the games and the day is pretty much over. I don’t get it. On espn.com it’s within a minute of accuracy with the scores. Is there any good app you guys recommend for android 2.0?

The one I use is called SportsTap. You have access to all the games for the day which are separated on it’s main screen by NCAA NFL NHL ect… and from there you have quite a few options. This app will even show predictions for upcoming games and has a live automatic refresh. Many menus and options as well to set favorites and so on.

On a side note I believe I saw and espn app not sure exactly what is was called though.

Good luck. :)

So Android 2.0 doesnt have flash support. When will it and can i get an update to have it after its released?

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

There isn’t Flash support on the new motorola droid, so its supposed to have it sometime in 2010. if i get the phone now can i just get an update later to have flash?

Yes you can get the update/s Even for Flash Support. They give them to you over the air. When they send out the first update in a few weeks it will either come in as a notification or you can do the following. Go to Settings ->Scroll down to About Phone. Then hit System Updates. If one is available it will pop up for you to download if none are available it will say its up to date. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. Good Luck.

Can you get a Motorola MILESTONE android with Rogers?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

I really want the Android for Christmas, but I’m not sure if it’s goes with Rogers. I can’t really find any sources that would let me know.

thanks in advance.

If rogers doesnt sell it itself ( and i dont think they do) but it is a gsm phone (the one you want is), then yeah, you can get it. just buy it online and make sure the phone is unlocked, then just put your sim in and viola, it works!
good luck!

btw, its going to be sorta costly for the phone though.

Whats so great about the Motorola Droid?

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

What is so great about this phone? It keeps getting called android or something but i have no idea what that is or means..the phone looks cool..but whats the difference between that and the LG dare or Env touch?

Android is the operating system that the phone runs. The Droid runs Android 2.0 which is the newest version. I just switched from a Blackberry Storm to the Droid and I love it! It has an app for anything I need, it has so much more functionality and flexibilty. I suggest you go to the store and look at it. Here’s a great site with information and tips regarding the Android operating system and the motorola droid phone itself:

Does anyone know how much the Motorola Droid for verizon will be?

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

I have seen pictures of the Motorola Droid online and I really like it. It is supposed to come out on November 6th and I really would like to know how much it will cost. Are there any Verizon employees out there? Please answer my question!

Okay, Its called the motorola droid. Its a Smartphone running Android 2.0 Eclair. Its going to be released on November 6, 2009 on Verizon Wireless.com, in-stores, and other retailers. Best Buy is accepting pre-orders now. Its going to be $299 with a 2/year contract with a $100 mail-in-rebate from Verizon in a form of a Debit Card. OR if you get it from Best Buy they give you the Rebate Instantly which means you only pay for the $199 price tag since thats what the phone is after rebate. Now Monthly you have to pay a $30/Data Plan which is mandatory to have the phone as well as the Voice plan and if you want Visual Voicemail, Text, Insurance, etc thats also extra. But the Minimum your looking at is the Data Plan and Voice plan. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. Good Luck.

debating between phones LG Chocolate and Motorola Droid?

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

I am debating between a LG Chocolate 3 or the new Motorola Droid. I need a phone with good battery strength, Reception, Text and Dial easiness, good camera, and durable enough to put in my jacket pocket when snowboarding.

your opinions are greatly appreciated.
would the Droid’s touch screen scratch up easily?

The motorola droid is the Best Phone next to the iPhone. Now the Chocolate has some reception problems from what I have heard. So I would go with the Droid. BUT the Touch Screen in a Jacket for snow boarding I recommend you get a hard case and put it inside. If not go with a Workforce phone. Neither of the 2 you mention will withstand much impact without a case anyways. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. Good Luck.

EDIT: Well the screen would scratch easily without a screen protector but the bigger problem would be the slider for the keyboard. It might snap off if you were to fall on it. But any screen can Scratch just be sure to get a screen protector and don’t take any phone out if your over the snow if you drop it you can get water damage and then its hard to fix it without having to purchase a new phone. Have fun.

Whats the big deal about Android phones? are the good phones?

Monday, November 9th, 2009

I am planing on getting the upcoming Motorola Calgary from Verizon and i have bin Reading about it and there saying it might be powered buy android…. i just want to know if its a good OS and what makes it different from other phones OS……sorry if its confusing

It’s a great OS with tremendous potential, and you can get it really really cheap now…
It’s much better than the Iphone and costs 1/4 of it – it has a built in camcorder, multi-tasking capabilities, copy paste, integrated search and much much more.
Another great thing about it is that it is a growing insanely fast and by the end of this year we are going to see around 10 devices with the android OS from various manufacturers and after that, there will be NetBooks that will run the OS as well.
now the major drawback here is the amount of applications, but as this phone and OS becomes more and more prevalent, we are bound to see some cool apps that will be proprietary to it.
you can check out my application and my blog for more info:

good luck!
