Can the Droid Motorola phone from Verizon work in India?

Hi I want to send my brother a phone from the US. Android Motorola!! Will he be able to get it to work there? its a google phone by Verizon. Thanks in advance for all your ans.

Yes, the Droid phone will work in India only if it is ‘cracked’ (not physically) or modified i.e the some geeks in computer and phone shops in India have access to softwares which break the software on the phone. This will allow the phone to be used in India with a normal SIM card.
You will have access to most of the features on the phone even after the software is cracked.

However it will cost your brother INR 1000-2000 and it generally takes 5-6 hours.

Many people used iPhone sent to them by relatives from the US, the same way, way before it was launched in India in 2008.

What is a Android Phone?

Well i was searching online phones that would come out to verizon in the winter and i found this really cool motorola android phone. The only problem is that i dont know what an Android Phone is.

Android os google’s mobile operating system. Its like windows on a computer, but for a phone.
