How much would it cost to upgrade to a Motorola Droid smartphone?

February 10th, 2010 | by admin |

I’ve been a verizon customer for a few years now. My EnV2 sucks because of the front of the phone not working after a month, and I’m wanting to get a Droid for my birthday. How much would it cost to upgrade to a Droid? Thanks.
I’ve had my env2 for 6-months to a year, I just never did anything about the front not working.
What is the retail price for a droid?

Unless you’ve completed 20 months of your contract and are eligible for an upgrade, the droid will be full price – $559.99 and you will have to add the $30/month data plan to your account. If you’re eligible for an upgrade, the phone is $199.99. You will have to sign a new 2 year contract and that contract will include the data plan.

If it’s been more than 30 days, you would have to pay full retail for the Droid, if it’s been less than 30, you can return the env and exchange it. The cost would be the difference between the price of the Droid ($199) and what ever you paid for the env.

The env is going to have a 1 year warranty, if it’s not working, take it back for a replacement.
