How do I insert my sandisk memory card into the motorola droid?

I know that you must remove the battery to insert the card. My problem is that it looks like there is already another card in there. Do I need to take that "card" out, or do I put my new memory card on top of that one? help!

The motorola droid comes with a 16GB SD chip. If you want to place another chip in there, you have to remove the chip that comes with the phone.
