What is an android phone?

February 9th, 2010 | by admin |

I am looking into buying the motorola droid and I keep hearing how it is verizon’s first android phone. I want to know what exactly is an android phone.

An Android phone is a phone the runs Google’s Android OS. Android is on open source phone OS developed by Google. You can find out more about the OS at http://www.android.com and you can find out about the Droid phone at http://www.vzw.com/droid.

android is the google operating system for mobile devices.

like windows and osx are operating systems for computers.

think: android is the google version of the iPhone, but with andriod there are many different phones you can put it on.
