it’s called the Droid, android is the operating system designed by google for the new generation of smart phones. I highly suggest you stay with verizon and get the driod plus tons of free apps, unless you want the 3Gs pay for activation, and prorated bill, plus the jacked up price of the plan.. and then add the itunes charges for every decent app you want.

i have att but have not sold out to the idon’t,

every ifon user i see everywhere, looks like such a tool with that aparatus.. i have much more respect for crack headz… berry that is.

go android. you will save money and have just a good a phone.

It’s too soon to tell. It will take a while to see what bugs shake out.

Android is actually an operating system that runs on a lot of phones, the Motorola Droid is coming out for Verizon, and it runs Android. Which is better depends on what you want in a phone. The iPhone has a bigger community, so accessories are easy to find, and it has a large app store. Android phones have lots of free apps, allow open development, more customization, and have actual keyboards. Apple also has an approval process for anything in the app store (Apps can’t duplicate existing functionality, can’t curse, can have nudity, etc.), while Android lets any app be installed on the phone(this includes emulators). The iPhone can be jailbroken, which allows a lot more functionality than the basic phone, but Apple claims this is copyright infringement, and illegal. For music, iPhones must be synced through iTunes, while android phones can directly sync with any computer, and have built in support for Amazon MP3.
